Download EbookNEW DELHI: A total of 3.29 lakh candidates have registered for the Common Admission Test (CAT 2024) this year, the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta) announced while issuing the CAT admit card. The number of registration has slightly increased compared to 3.28 lakh candidates who applied last year.

The IIM CAT exam 2024 for admission into postgraduate programmes in management will be held on November 24 in three sessions. Candidates will be appearing for the exam in 170 cities located across the country.
As per the schedule, the CAT results 2024 are expected to be declared by the second week of January 2025 and the score will be valid till December 21, 2025.
Every year, one of the IIMs conducts the CAT entrance exam 2024 for admission into all IIMs and other management colleges accepting the score. Based on candidates’ performance in the CAT exam, IIMs will call them for a written test, group discussion and/or interview for further selection process. The admission policy and weightage for CAT score may differ for different IIMs.
