NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta has declared the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 result on December 19. Majority of the IIMs have started their shortlisting process based on CAT 2024 scores. The IIM admission criteria 2025 is different for each intuition. Candidates with high CAT 2024 percentile can expect IIM BLACKI calls in January.
IIM BLACKI refers to the top six IIMs- IIM Bangalore, IIM Lucknow, IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Calcutta, IIM Kozhikode, and IIM Indore. The IIM BLACKI are known for their global reputation, academic quality and placement records.
Candidates who secured a high percentile in CAT 2024, typically above 97 percentile depending on the category and institute stand a chance of receiving IIM BLACKI interview calls.
Additionally, candidates with strong academic records, relevant work experience, and a well-rounded profile, including extracurricular achievements, are likely to be shortlisted for IIM interview calls.
Meeting institute-specific criteria such as academic requirements, eligibility criteria, professional experience are also required to receive an IIM BLACKI interview calls.

As per the statistics on CAT 2024 result PDF, a total of 14 candidates secured 100 percentile. Engineering students and male candidates dominated the top ranks. Among the 14 candidates who achieved a perfect 100 percentile, 13 were engineers, and the group included 13 males and one female.
Additionally, 29 candidates secured a 99.99 percentile, with 25 from engineering backgrounds and 4 from non-engineering fields. This group comprised 27 males and 2 females. Another 30 candidates achieved a 99.98 percentile.
Meeting the CAT 2024 cut-off is a part of IIM eligibility requirements and does not guarantee IIM BLACKI interview calls or admission.
