The CAT 2024 question paper included a total of 68 questions on Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Aptitude (QA).
As per the CAT 2024 marking scheme, candidates will receive three marks for every correct answer, while one mark will be deducted for each incorrect response. Unanswered questions will not attract negative marks.

The LR section included sets on ATM intersections and food-related questions.

There were approximately five easy questions, while ten questions were of moderate difficulty. The section also featured an increased number of TITA (Type-in-the-answer) questions.
