NEW DELHI, DECEMBER 20, 2019: Central Board of Secondary Education has released the date sheet for class XII level practical examinations. The exams will be held from January 16, 2019 to February 15, 2019. However, the date sheet for Allahabad city is different on account of Kumbh Mela celebrations to be held during those days. Practical exams for students of Allahabad will start from January 1, 2019. The date sheet is detailed below.

In addition, the Board has also mentioned that “Since students opting for skill-based subjects and few other academic subjects are small in number, exams for these students will commence from later half of February 2019. In such a case, practical examination in all such subjects will be completed within the first half of February 2019”.

Note: If the number of candidates is more than 20, then the practical exam will be conducted in two sessions in a day. The Board has also instructed schools to upload the marks on the date of the examination from the school where the examination will be held by an external examiner.

The official notification regarding the date sheet of theory papers expected to begin in March 2019 is not released by CBSE as of yet.


CBSE Class 12 Practical Exam Instructions for students

  • Don’t forget to bring your practical file to the hall.

  • Also, carry any extra things you needed for that practical exam.

  • Students are suggested to reach the exam centre about 30 minutes before.

  • No mobile phones, or any other electronic devices, are allowed in exam rooms.

  • candidates are advised to avoid carrying valuable belongings.
