As per expert, Pratibha Sharma , Academic Director Bhai Parmanand Vidya Mandir Delhi, the CBSE Class 12 Economics paper was moderate but analytical. A few students found it to be lengthy. There were reasoning-based questions. Overall the questions were from the prescribed syllabus. But the language of the questions was slightly tricky as reported by students.
Around 30 percent of the questions in the paper were 'hots'. The numerical questions in the MCQs of section A could be time-consuming. Overall, Section A, Macroeconomic theory consisted of a combination of direct and indirect questions requiring in-depth comprehension of concepts.
In section B, Indian Economic Development, both short and long-answer questions were from NCERT but with changes in the language of the questions.
Regarding section-wise difficulty level, Both section A and section B can be rated as average. The paper was not too hard but not too easy either and was designed to analyze the student’s competency in the subject. Overall the paper was well-designed and covered almost all concepts of Macroeconomic theory and Indian Economic Development taught in Class 12.
