CBSE Board 2026: Exam form submission for Class 10, 12 private students begins tomorrow

CBSE Board Exams 2026: Students can find the private application form on the official website, cbse.gov.in, and fill it out before September 30, without any late fee charges.

Enrol NowThe Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will commence the CBSE Board Exams 2026 application form filling for private candidates from tomorrow, September 9. Students of both Class 10, 12 can find the private application form on the official website, cbse.gov.in.
The board will conduct exams for private students along with the board’s main exams in 2026. The last date to fill out the application form is September 30. The deadline for CBSE exam form filling for private candidates with a late fee will begin on October 3 till October 11.
The application fee for per subject is Rs 320. The late fee for form filling for private candidates is Rs 2000 in addition to the normal prescribed fee. The fees will be accepted in online mode only.

CBSE Board Exams 2026: Who can apply?
CBSE board exam 2026 private application form filling is important for the below mentioned category students.
- Candidates of the session 2024-25 who have been declared as ‘essential repeat’ in the result of the 2025 exam can apply.
- Candidates of the session 2024-25 who have been placed under the compartment board's main and supplementary examinations 2025.
- Students who have been declared failed or essential repeat in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025.
- Passed out candidates of 2024-2025 who wish to appear to improve their performance in one or more subjects.

CBSE directives for private students
Candidates are advised to choose the exam city carefully while filling out the form. The city allotted for the exam will not be changed under any circumstances. Candidates should keep a copy of the printed application form for their reference.
Furthermore, candidates will be given chance to correct details in the application before the deadline of form submission. Candidates should submit their fees before the last date, or else their application form will be rejected.
