CBSE Board exam 2019 for classes 10 and 12; Principals to be Centre Superintendents

NEW DELHI, FEBRUARY 12: CBSE has decided to ensure smooth conduct of class 10, 12 board examinations so that no bad name is brought to CBSE after exams. As per reports, Principals will work as Centre Superintendent and will collect the question paper packets. They will be responsible to ensure that there is no case reported of malpractice or unfair means. Only 24 students will sit for the exam in a class after being frisked properly.

CBSE has directed the Principals to make a list of students who are found circulating rumours of the paper leak on social media or indulging in an unfair practice. CBSE has formulated some guidelines for sitting plan and to conduct the exam provided below:.

Important points for exam day

  • Students should be dressed in proper uniform with their Admit card and ID-card. Admit card must be signed by their parent(s).

  • Proper frisking will be done of every student.

  • No student will be allowed to carry watches, bags or mobile phones inside the exam hall.

  • They are allowed to carry stationary only.

  • Invigilators also are barred from carrying mobile phones in the examination hall.

  • There will be a wall clock at every class to keep a tab on time

  • Students must reach the exam centre at 9:30 am in the morning. No student will be allowed to enter after 10 am.

  • No unauthorised person to be allowed on centre on examination day.

Sitting Plan

  • Not more than 24 students will be allowed in a class.

  • In case of odd number, schools are allowed to conduct the exam with less than 24 students in a class.

  • There will be three rows of students sitting for the exam.

Central Board of Secondary Examination will commence board exams from February 15, 2019, and will continue till April 4, 2019. The exams will begin at 10:30 am sharp in the morning. CBSE will declare the result for both the classes in the last week of May, 2019.
