NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has clarified that the date sheet for Class 10 and 12 for term 1 has not been released yet. The board official has said that an exam time table that is being circulated on social media is not released by the board, said Rama Sharma, CBSE Spokesperson.

A fake CBSE date sheet 2022 for term 1 is doing rounds on social media platforms. It also claims that CBSE term 1 exams for 10th, 12th will commence from November 15. The board official has confirmed that the date sheet is fake and the board will release the original CBSE exam date sheet 2022 PDF anytime soon on the official website- cbse.nic.in.

The term 1 date sheet of CBSE will have all required information such as CBSE term 1 exam time, date, day, and name of subject. This year, CBSE will release the exam date sheet for Class 10 and 12 today on October 18, 2021. Earlier, CBSE had informed that the board will conduct the Class 10 and 12 exams into two terms. CBSE term 1 exam will be conducted in November- December and term 2 will be held in March- April 2022.

As per the new circular, CBSE term 1 exam will be an objective type and the duration of this exam would be of 90 minutes. The questions will be asked from the first half of the rationalised syllabus.

In order to avoid the learning loss of students due to COVID-19, the board has decided to divide the subjects into major and minor subjects. The term 1 datesheet which is scheduled to be released today, will be for major subjects. The exams for minor subjects will be held at the school level.

Last year, the board exams for Class 10 and 12 could not be conducted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Students were promoted to the next classes on the basis of evolution criteria.
