SC Verdict on CBSE; Board Exams Cancelled for Class 10 and 12

NEW DELHI - Central Board of Secondary Education has cancelled the remaining CBSE board exam 2020 of Class 10 and 12. The board communicated its decision to the Supreme Court on Thursday. Pending CBSE board 2020 exams are scheduled to be held from July 1 to 15, 2020.

CBSE Class 10, 12 Assessment Scheme 2020 Released
CBSE 10th, 12th Board Exams 2020 Cancelled
As per the report of Indian Express, students of Class 12 will be evaluated based on their performance in the last three school exams. Also, students who wish to improve their performance can appear for the CBSE board exam 2020 at a later date.
CBSE will soon release the fresh notification on June 26 stating the assessment policy and guidelines for the further process.

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, informs HT, that no student will miss on entrance exams. The assessment result will be declared by July 15.
SG Mehta, speaking to SC, states "Our affidavit filed half an hour back states that taking into account suggestion from States, CBSE exam 2020 for Class 10 and 12 from July 1 stands cancelled."

He further added "all CBSE Class 10 exams 2020 have been cancelled. However, CBSE Class 12 exams are optional. CBSE has a scheme in which marks scored in past 3 exams will be taken into account. For Class 12, the exams will be conducted as soon as the situation is conducive. Marks for the students who opt for the CBSE Board exams 2020 for class 12 will have that marks as final."
Class 12 students have to share their decision whether they want to appear for the same or not.
SC asked the board about the decision on pending exams after receiving a plea from a group of parents, who demanded the cancellation of the remaining CBSE board exams 2020.
