NEW DELHI: The Coronavirus pandemic has brought the entire world on toes. From the crisis in the working sectors to educational areas, the struggle is real. As a result, several examinations have been postponed as the safety of the students and teachers comes first. Not just CBSE Board, but several other Boards also went ahead and cancelled the examination.

The past week has seen major announcements in regard to the exam conduction and postponement. The University Grants Commission has released several guidelines for the educational institutions. Let us take a glance on the CBSE, CISCE exams, JEE Main, NEET and other exam dates and the latest information.

CBSE, CISCE Board Exams 2020 Cancelled

The parents of the students turned up to the Supreme Court in regard to the cancellation of the Board exams. In reply to the same, the Supreme Court gave the green signal and the CBSE Board cancelled the Class 10 and 12 exams on June 26. Central Board of Secondary Education finally cancelled the remaining Class 10, 12 examinations which were all set to be conducted from July 1 to 15, 2020.

CBSE Board further announced that the marks for cancelled Class 10, 12 papers to be based on students' best performing subjects

On the other hand, the ICSE Board also followed the trend and announced that the ICSE Class 10 and 12 exams 2020 have been cancelled. The Board also added that the result will be released as per the internal marks assessment.

CA Exams

ICAI provides opt-out facilities to CA students for CA July exams. However, SC asks ICAI to draw fresh guidelines to ensure the safety of CA students. A petition is filed against the Opt-out option. The final hearing is on July 2.

JEE Main & NEET Latest Updates

After the decision of the cancellation of the CBSE Board exams 2020 was put up, the aspirants of the JEE Main and NEET got perturbed. They started to give a second thought on appearing in the entrance examination and requested the HRD Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ to confirm if the exams will be conducted or not.

They further went on and started using #NoExamsinCovid campaign on several social media accounts. However, the National Testing Agency (NTA), which is the exam conducting body of the competitive examination (university-based) has not made any official announcement as of now.

DU Admissions 2020: Latest Updates

On June 27, the open book examination of Delhi University got postponed for 10 days in the wake of Coronavirus pandemic. As per the previous schedule, the examination was all set to be commenced from July 1, 2020.

“The OBE mode examinations as an alternative mode of examinations in view of COVID-19 pandemic adopted as one-time measure for academic session 2019-20 for all streams of UG and PG including SOL and NCWEB stands postponed for ten days in view of the prevailing situation of COVID19 pandemic,” the DU notification said, as reported by India Today.

In addition to this, a voice has been raised by several students against the hike of the fees of the application form for OBC students. As per the reports, the non-creamy layer students are supposed to pay the same fee for the application form as the general category students.

Other Board Exams Updates
