Check NowNEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 home science paper 2022 held today was balanced with a few difficult, out of syllabus, and High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions, according to students who appeared in the exam and school principals.

Jyoti Gupta, Director-Principal, KR Mangalam World School, Greater Kailash II said that two questions in the CBSE Home Science paper were out of syllabus. According to the principal, "Question 2- Adulterant in milk, and Question 9- First part suitable for washing milk in the Home Science paper were out of syllabus."
The paper was good and average, with few High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions, the principal added.
Regarding the out of syllabus questions, CBSE could not confirm the same. Spokesperson Rama Sharma said, "we are yet to receive any such complaints on out of syllabus questions."
According to a student Vaishali Garg, the Home Science paper was a bit difficult, and around 5 to 10 marks were given to HOTS questions. "The HOTS questions were a bit difficult, overall the paper was balanced. The questions asked were based on NCERT, sample papers," the student said.

The Class 10 board exams 2022 will be conducted for 29 days and will be over on May 24, 2022. In Class 10, CBSE will conduct the examination in 75 subjects, as per an official statement from CBSE. The Board informed that it has made elaborate arrangements for the conduct of examinations in India and in 26 countries abroad.
CBSE is paying Rs 5,000 to each exam centre for the purchase of Infrared Thermometer and also paying Rs 5 per candidate per day for sanitization of school every day and for making arrangement of masks, sanitizer, soaps etc. to ensure cleanliness at the examination premises, the board said.
