Apply NowNEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued Class 10, 12 datesheets for board exams 2024. As per the datesheet, CBSE Class 12 exams 2024 will be conducted from February 15 to April 2, 2024.
The board issued a circular stating CBSE board exam dates 2024 are devised in accordance with JEE Mains 2024 dates. Students should note that the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct JEE Main Session 1 between January 24 to February 1, 2024 and CBSE 12th board exams are starting from February 15.
CBSE Class 12 students are getting 14 days between JEE Mains 2024 and board exams. The JEE Mains Session 2 exam will be held from April 1 to April 15, 2024.
CBSE Class 12 exams will end on April 2 and JEE Mains session 2 begins from April 1, there is the possibility of a clash in the exam dates.
However, according to CBSE, Class 10, 12 date sheets are prepared by avoiding over 40,000 subject combinations so that no two subject's fall on same date.
"Sufficient Gap has been given in between two subjects generally offered by a student in both classes. Competitive examinations, including JEE Main have been taken care of while preparing the date sheet for Class XII. These date sheets have been prepared by avoiding more than 40,000 subject combinations to ensure that no two subjects' examinations of a student fall on the same date," CBSE notification said.

Over 38 lakh students are set to appear for the CBSE board exams this year. Out of these, 21,86,940 are from Class 10 and 16,96,770 are from Class 12.
