NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is inviting applications for CBSE recruitment for the post of Superintendent and Junior Assistant posts. A total of 212 vacancies are available for candidates. Eligibility aspirants can register for the posts through the official website at cbse.nic.in.

The last date for the application for Superintendent and Junior Assistant posts is January 31, 2025. Only online applications will be accepted.

For the group B Superintendent Pay Level-6, a total of 142 posts are available and for group C Junior Assistant Pay Level-2, 70 seats are available for candidates to register. However, the vacancies may increase or decrease depending on the requirement, as per the CBSE official notice. Candidates will be shortlisted for posting at any CBSE office.

The application fee for unreserved candidates is Rs 800 while for SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, Women, and Departmental candidates, is Nil. Candidates can pay the required fee using a debit card, credit card, and internet banking.

“In case due to administrative reason the last date of the application has to be extended, the crucial date for determining eligibility shall remain same.” the CBSE notice read.

CBSE Recruitment 2025: Eligibility requirements

Candidates can check the eligibility criteria for both Superintendent and Junior Assistant posts mentioned below.

Eligibility Criteria for Superintendent posts

  • Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.

  • Candidates must have knowledge of computer and computer applications such as Windows, MS Office, etc.

  • The age criteria is 30 for eligible candidates.

  • A typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on Computer (35 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. correspond to 10500 KDPH/ 9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word) will be mandatory for the post, however, it will be qualifying in nature.

  • A MCQ based preliminary screening examination and Objective Type (OMR-based) & Descriptive Type written main examination.

Eligibility Criteria for Junior Assistant posts

  • Class 12 or equivalent qualification certificate from a recognized board or university.

  • Candidates must have a typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on a computer (35 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. correspond to 10500 KDPH/ 9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word), as per the notification.

  • The age criteria are between 18-27 years.

  • A MCQ based preliminary screening examination.
