CDS 2 written exam held on November 18; know the details here

NEW DELHI, November 22: Combined Defence Services (CDS 2) exam has been conducted on November 18. The exam was conducted in pen and paper mode across 41 exam cities. Candidates who have applied for admission to Indian Military Academy, Air Force Academy and Naval Academy courses have appeared for three subjects - English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics whereas for admission to Officers’ Training Academy (OTA) courses, candidates have appeared in two papers - English and General Knowledge.
CDS 2 written exam for English paper was held in the morning shift from 9 to 11 am. The questions were asked from reading comprehension, spotting errors, fill in the blanks etc. General knowledge paper of CDS 2 was conducted in afternoon session between 12 to 2 pm. Maximum number of questions were asked from history and current affairs. Elementary mathematics paper was held in the evening session between 3 to 5 pm. Questions from algebra, mensuration were asked in this paper. There was negative marking of 0.33 marks for each wrong answer.
CDS 2018 result is expected to be declared in January 2019. Selected candidates will be eligible to appear for SSB Interview. SSB interview will be conducted in two stages - I and II. The SSB Interview will be held for five days. On the first day of SSB Interview, candidates will have to appear for Picture Perception Description Test (PP&DT). Candidates who qualify the PP&DT will be eligible to appear for other rounds of the selection process - Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests and the Conference.
Candidates based on their performance in SSB Interview and written exam will be eligible for admission to Indian Military Academy (IMA Dehradun), Indian Naval Academy (INA Ezhimala), and Officers’ Training Academy (OTA Chennai).
