NEW DELHI, FEBRUARY 2: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is conducting CDS 2020 examination on February 2 in three shifts. The morning shift is to be conducted from 9 am to 11 am, afternoon shift from 12 noon to 2 pm and evening shift from 3 pm to 5 pm for English, General Studies and Mathematics respectively. CDS live analysis will help students understand the exam on the basis of difficulty level, questions type, weightage of topics and the expected cutoff.
CDS (I) 2020 is being held in 41 cities across the country with numerous exam centres. The exam is being conducted for a total of 418 vacancies for the admission of candidates in Indian Military Academy (IMA Dehradun), Indian Naval Academy (INA Ezhimala), Air Force Academy (Hyderabad), and Officers’ Training Academy (OTA Chennai). Candidates will be recruited as Commissioned Officers in the Defence after the successful conclusion of their training period.

Candidates have attempted around 80 questions in General Studies.
02:20 - Candidates find GS tougher than English
Candidates have started coming out of the exam centres after General Studies paper. Most candidates found the paper to be of moderate to high difficulty. Most questions were asked from Geography. Current Affairs - relatively easier.
01:35 pm - Shift-2 - CDS 2020 General Studies about to end
11:40 am - Candidates attempted 80 to 100 questions on an average
Candidates attempted around 80 to 100 questions. Reading comprehension was easier than usual, candidates were able to find answers in passages easily.
11:30 am - CDS 2020 English Exam - Easy to Moderate
Candidates have informed that the difficulty level of CDS English paper was easy to moderate. 10 questions fro reading comprehension were asked, synonyms, antonyms, para jumble, error detection, etc. were also asked.
11:00 am - English Paper Concludes
Time's up for CDS English paper. Negative marking applicable as usual - 1/3rd of the marks allotted to the question to be deducted if answered incorrectly.
10:05 am - CDS Paper-I - English Language
Candidates are appearing for English language paper. The test is being conducted for a total of 100 marks. Total 120 questions are being asked to test the candidates on their understanding of the language and workmanlike use of words.
9:00 am - CDS-I 2020 first shift begins
The exam authorities have started conducting the first paper for English language. Each paper is to be conducted for a duration of 2 hours. Stay tuned for more updates.
8:30 am - Candidates begin entering the exam centres
Candidates enter Rajkiya Sarvodya Kanya/ Bal Vidyalaya, Dallupura, Delhi - 110096, to take CDS 2020 exam.
