NEW DELHI: Commissioner for Entrance Examination, Kerala has successfully conducted the state law entrance exam for admissions to 3-year LLB programme. In spite of the fact that the COVID-19 pandemic has pushed the country into a prolonged lockdown, CEE Kerala has managed to conduct KLEE (Kerala Law Entrance Examination) under strict regulations. The two-hour-long test was conducted in online, computer-based test mode. Candidates were asked to wear the mask all the time and to keep the spare masks with them. The guidelines issued by the conducting body also took the social distancing and thermal screening norms into consideration. Further, once the candidates report at the centre, they were provided with safety gloves.

The entrance exam was conducted in two shifts - morning and afternoon. However, given that there is already a COVID-19 situation. it remains to be seen how many registered candidates were really able to appear in the examination. And, if some candidates were left out, will there be a second chance for them once the situation gets better?

As of now, the authorities will also conduct the entrance examination for the 5-year LLB programme on June 22. Candidates are given similar guidelines for appearing the test. The examination for 5-year LLB has also similar test modalities in terms of mode of conduct, number of questions, and test duration.
