CFA Level 1 August session exam to start tomorrow; Check guidelines here

Candidates who have registered for the CFA level 1 exam for the August session must download the CFA admit card from the official website.

NEW DELHI: The CFA Institute is all set to conduct the CFA level 1 August session exam from tomorrow. The exam will be administered between August 13 and August 30, 2021. The institute had earlier given candidates the option to schedule or reschedule their exams within the specified exam period.

Prometric and British Council will administer the CFA level 1 exam globally only in computer-based mode. The CFA Institute will take all necessary precautions keeping in view the safety of students and staff.

Note- CFA level 1 question paper will include multiple-choice questions.

Earlier, CFA Institute had notified that if the CFA level 1 exam is impacted, candidates will receive notification via email from CFA Institute and/ Prometric.

Candidates giving the exam must check the important guidelines to be followed for CFA level 1 exam.

Arrival and Check-in Procedures

  • Candidates must wear masks and cover their faces. But, note that masks with exhale/ one-way valves and wearable technology are prohibited.

  • Candidates who have travelled in the past 14 days/ have symptoms of COVID-19 will not be permitted to give the exam

  • Candidates will be asked to sign in on a roster sheet with a Prometric-supplied pen (using hand sanitizer prior to use).

  • Candidates will be assigned locker number and key to place their belongings (if required)

Proctor & Testing Room Procedures

  • Candidates must follow social distancing norms

  • Candidates will be scanned with a handheld metal detection device before entering the CFA exam room (with the exception of exempt individuals).

  • Candidates will be asked to show their arms, ankles and empty their pockets

  • The proctor will give note boards and markers/ paper/ pencils to those candidates who use scratch paper (if required)

  • Candidates will be under surveillance by existing DVR monitoring

End of test procedures

  • After completing the test, candidates will have to complete their sign out process

  • Candidates have to keep their pen and locker key in a holding tub before they leave the facility
