New Delhi, April 18 : Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) has announced the result of the Prelims exam held on February 17, 2019. The Commission has declared the result in the form of PDF which carries roll numbers of qualified candidates. According to the official CGPSC Prelims result data, 4128 candidates have been declared qualified for appearing in the Mains examination. Candidates can check the CGPSC State Service Result of CGPSC Prelims by visiting the official website - http://psc.cg.gov.in/ and clicking on the result link.
After this, the candidates will find a PDF file opening in a new window. Candidates can press Cntrl+F to find whether their roll number is there in the file or not. If they are able to find their roll number in the PDF, then this means that they have cleared the exam stage.
According to CGPSC officials, unreserved category candidates have to secure at least 33% in each paper to be considered as qualified, while reserved category candidates with minimum 23% marks will be considered qualified.
For the Mains exam, candidates are considered shortlisted based on their merit position in General Studies paper of Prelims exam, whereas marks secured in the Aptitude Test are not considered for preparing the merit list, as the paper is qualifying in nature. Also, the purpose of Preliminary examination is to just filter candidates for taking the Mains exam, while its marks are not taken into account for the final merit list.
Apart from the result, the Commission will also release CGPSC cut off for Prelims in April 2019. But it must be noted that the cutoff will be released separately and has not been announced with the result of the Prelims.
Qualified candidates will now have to take the Mains exam on June 21, 22, 23 and 24, while the result of the Mains examination is expected to be out in August 2019. Further, the candidates, who will qualify the Mains exam, will have to appear in the Interview in October 2019. After the Interview, the candidates will be able to know their final result in December 2019.
