The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Chhattisgarh, has opened the application window for the Chhattisgarh National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET PG) round 2 counselling. Eligible candidates can now submit their Chhattisgarh NEET PG round 2 counselling application form through the official website at cgdme.admissions.nic.in.

The last date to submit the Chhattisgarh NEET PG round 2 application form is January 3, 2026. The Chhattisgarh NEET PG round 2 choice filling window is also open. Candidates who filled out the application form can exercise the Chhattisgarh NEET PG round 2 choice filling through the official website. The last date for round 2 choice filling is January 4, 2026.

The directorate has also issued the Chhattisgarh NEET PG round 2 seat matrix. As per the official data, a total of 326 clear vacancies are available for round 2 admissions in government and private medical colleges across the state.

The clear vacancies include postgraduate medical seats that remained unfilled after the completion of the first round allotment and admission process. Candidates who have not been allotted a seat in the Chhattisgarh NEET PG round 1, as well as those who wish to participate afresh, are required to complete online registration and institution selection within the notified schedule.

Chhattisgarh NEET PG Counselling: Seat upgradation process

Apart from clear vacancies, the counselling authority has also indicated that virtual vacancies will be available in the second round. Virtual vacancies will be generated during the round 2 allotment process when candidates who secured admission in round 1 opt for upgradation to higher-preference colleges or courses. Seats vacated due to such upgradations will be offered to other candidates based on merit and availability during the same counselling round.

“In the second round and all subsequent counselling rounds, if a candidate does not take admission after seat allotment or resigns from the allotted seat after admission, the registration fee deposited by the candidate will be forfeited. Candidates are therefore advised to select only those institutions in which they are willing to take admission,” the official notice said.

The DME has clarified that previously registered candidates will have to re-fill and lock their choices, as all earlier institution selections have been reset. Candidates who fail to complete choice filling will not be considered for seat allotment.
