Class 10 Suncity topper is third in India, secures 99.4%

NEW DELHI, MAY 7: Mihika Parag Deshpande of Suncity School, Gurgaon has secured 3 rd AIR in CBSE class X Board Examinations. She achieved a score of 99.4 percent by securing 497 marks out of 500.
A total of 137 students appeared in this year’s Class X Board examination. The school has achieved a 100% result with girls outshining the boys. Apart from Mihika, two other girls from Suncity, Anandini Rastogi and Vanshika Gupta also made their school proud. They both have secured 98.8 percent with 494 marks out of 500.
Congratulating Mihika on her achievement, Rupa Chakravarty, Head, Suncity School said, “Mihika is a perfect example of diligence and dedication, giving results of excellence as the output. She is focused and believes in regular practice and does this through multifaceted ways of learning. She is very strong with her concepts and makes an effort to go beyond the textbook to glean knowledge.”
Mihika, a resident of DLF 5 Gurgaon loves playing the violin and also very active in sports; she plays lawn tennis.
Elated on her achievements, Mihika shared her success mantra. She said, “The results dropped as a surprise today. I was a bit nervous as I wasn’t sure how much I would have scored. It is an ecstatic moment for me, that I have scored this well. My key to success was a very calm and relaxed approach. And I took up the extracurriculars as well, as they help you unwind and get rid of stress. It is equally important to focus on academics and extracurriculars alongside.”
Mihika’s parents also are beaming on their daughter’s success.
“I am very proud of her, there is no other feeling better than watching your daughter succeed. She has been a sincere child always and we are very thankful to the school, all the teachers have supported and helped her a lot”, said Geetanjali Deshpande, mother of Mihika.
Mihika’s mother is a homemaker. And Mihika's father, Parag Deshpande works as the vice president in American Express.
