CLAT 2022 postponed to June 19; last date for registration extended to May 9

NEW DELHI: The Consortium of National Law Universities has postponed the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2022 to June 19. The Consortium has also rescheduled the last date to apply for CLAT 2022 to May 9. Earlier, the exam was scheduled to be held on May 8.
According to an official notification, “the Executive Committee of the Consortium of National Law Universities met on March 14, 2022 and resolved as follows:
1. CLAT-2022 is rescheduled to Sunday, June 19, 2022 between 2 and 4 PM for both UG and PG programmes.
2. The last date for submission of CLAT-2022 online applications has been extended to May 9, 2022.
Candidates can send any request for assistance or for clarifications to the email ID - clat@consortiumofnlus.ac.in and phone number - 080-47162020 (between 10 am to 5 pm on all working days), said the notification.

The consortium has also elected Poonam Saxena, Vice-Chancellor, National Law University, Jodhpur as Vice President of the new CLAT executive committee. V C Vivekanandan, Vice-Chancellor, Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur has been elected as CLAT Convenor, 2022.
In the previous session, CLAT exam was conducted on July 26, 2021, in more than 80 cities across the country. The admission process was completed by August 23, 2021.
The scores of CLAT 2022 will be accepted by 22 national law universities for admission to the five-year integrated LLB programmes and one-year LLM courses.
