NEW DELHI: The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has released the revised CLAT 2024 answer key today, December 04, 2023 on its official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The objections raising window against the CLAT 2024 provisional answer key is open from December 4 at 7 PM till December 5 upto 7 PM. The CLAT 2024 final answer key would be published on December 9. The Consortium has also published other key dates for CLAT 2024. The CLAT result will be announced on December 10. The registration window for CLAT counselling will be open from December 12 till December 22.

CLAT 2024 was held on December 3, from 2 pm to 4 pm, in offline mode. The exam was conducted in 139 exam centres across the country as per the Consortium of NLUs. As per the feedback received from students who appeared for CLAT 2024, the exam was easy to moderate this year. According to Harsh Gagrani, co-founder LegalEdge, a good score in CLAT should be around 105+. The CLAT cut-offs too are expected on the higher side. A good score for the top 3 NLUs will be 90+ according to the expert.

The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has released the revised CLAT 2024 answer key today, December 04, 2023 on its official website. It has also released key dates for CLAT 2024 including the CLAT result date and counselling registration timeline. It must be noted that the Consortium will refund the amount for valid objections against the CLAT 2024 provisional answer key in the same account from which the money was paid. It will not refund the money into any other account.
The objections against CLAT 2024 provisional answer key will only be accepted through the official portal for the same. Candidates cannot raise objections through email or any other means.
CLAT 2024 counselling registration window will be open from December 12 till December 22.

An initial CLAT 2024 analysis suggests an easy paper. Also, over 1 lakh registrations have been received, as notified by consortium earlier. An easier question paper coupled with high number of candidates will translates to a very strong competition level this time. So, candidates have to perform well to clear the CLAT cut off.
Candidates can calculate their probable CLAT score using the CLAT 2024 answer key which is expected to be out shortly. One must compare their own answers in the candidate OMR sheet with the official answer key and calculate their likely CLAT score as per the CLAT marking scheme. Another student, Krishna, found the exam easy. He expects the CLAT cut off to go up to 97 for top NLUs. For him logical reasoning was the toughest section while other sections were relatively easy.
Candidates must make sure they take back with them three important documents after the exam. The three documents are their CLAT 2024 admit card, CLAT OMR sheet and the CLAT 2024 question booklet. The admit card must be preserved till the end of the admission process.
Karthik, who appeared for CLAT 2024 felt the CLAT 2024 was easy, He found Maths to be the most difficult section while legal reasoning was the easiest section for him.

The CLAT 2024 LLM syllabus will comprise of topics like Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Administrative Law, Law of Contract, Torts, Family Law, Criminal Law, Property Law, Company Law, Public International Law, Tax Law, Environmental Law, and Labour & Industrial Law.
Although, there is no specific CLAT exam dress code. It is advised that candidates must avoid wearing accessories such as lockets or chains. Candidates are also advised not to use clothing with big buttons which can be potentially used to hide cameras or other equipment.

As per the notification put out by Consortium of NLUs on its official website close to 100000 candidates have shown interest to appear for CLAT 2024. There has been a rise of 34.7% in undergraduate applications and 25.8% in PG applications for CLAT 2024.
As per the CLAT 2024 marking scheme, there is a negative marking of -0.25 marks for every incorrect answer. If candidates mark two circles in the OMR sheet, it would also be treated as a wrong answer and negative marks would be applied. However, there is no negative marking for unattempted answers.

As per the NIRF law rankings 2023, there are a total of 10 NLUs in the top 30 law institutes. NLSIU Bengaluru, NALSAR Hyderabad, and WBNUJS Kolkata are among the top 5 institutes. Legal reasoning carries a 25% weightage in CLAT exam. There will be 22-26 questions. The Consortium stipulates that candidates do not need prior legal knowledge to attempt the section. However, a good understanding of basic legal concepts and legal terms would help one to score well in this section.
As per the general trend observed, it is noticed that lower ranked and newer NLUs charge lesser fees. Among the NLUs participating in CLAT 2024, DBRANLU Sonipat, TNNLU Tiruchirappalli, and RMLNLU Lucknow charge the lowest fees. The fees at these NLUs range between 1.50 Lakh p.a. To 2 Lakhs p.a.
The CLAT dress code specifies that female candidates should not wear any ornaments like nosepins, bangles etc for the CLAT exam today. Female CLAT candidates must wear half-sleeved clothes without large buttons. Students should wear slippers or sandals instead of shoes for footwear in CLAT exam paper.
When compared to NLUs, last year, there is an addition of one more NLU participating this year - NLU Tripura. It must be noted that NLU Tripura did not participate in CLAT 2023. However, it will be accepting CLAT 2024 scores for its law admissions. In total there are 24 participating NLUs in CLAT 2024.
There are no specified passing marks for CLAT 2024. Admissions to NLUs will be done on the basis of CLAT 2024 cut off. To get admissions in top 5 NLUs candidates must score between 78-85 marks out of 120.

Past trends show that NLSIU Bengaluru has been the number one choice of candidates when filling up NLU preferences. It is closely followed by NALSAR Hyderabad and WBNUJS Kolkata in the second and third position. NLU Jodhpur is the fourth most popular NLU choice.

According to the exam day instructions of CLAT 2024, students are not allowed to carry any electronic devices like mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators etc. Students are also not allowed to carry any eatables inside the examination hall.
