The NLU 5-year LLB fees range between Rs. 2 Lakh to Rs. 4 Lakh p.a. The fees include certain one time components such as admission fee and caution deposit. There are also certain recurring items such as tuition fee, mess fee, and more.

CLAT 2024 counselling will be conducted through an online centralised process. After obtaining allotment candidates have to report to the concerned NLU.

The consortium will publish the provisional answer key of CLAT 2024 today, December 03, It will also open a window for objection submission. Meanwhile, candidates can use the Careers360 CLAT answer key to calculate their scores.

Almost 52,000 candidates are estimated to have appeared for CLAT 2024. A large chunk of this number would have appeared for CLAT UG exam.

Here is the 5-year LLB cut off for general category in some of the top NLUs last year.

An initial CLAT 2024 analysis suggests an easy paper. Also, over 1 lakh registrations have been received, as notified by consortium earlier. An easier question paper coupled with high number of candidates will translates to a very strong competition level this time. So, candidates have to perform well to clear the CLAT cut off.

Candidates can calculate their probable CLAT score using the CLAT 2024 answer key which is expected to be out shortly. One must compare their own answers in the candidate OMR sheet with the official answer key and calculate their likely CLAT score as per the CLAT marking scheme. This score is a primary indicator to know one’s chances of making it to the CLAT merit list.

Another CLAT candidate Shubh felt the exam was easy. But it did not go too well for him due to lack of preparation. His NLU preferences included NLSIU Bengaluru, NALSAR Hyderabad, and GNLU Silvassa. 

Another student, Krishna, found the exam easy. He expects the CLAT cut off to go up to 97 for top NLUs. For him logical reasoning was the toughest section while other sections were relatively easy.

Candidates must make sure they take back with them three important documents after the exam. The three documents are their CLAT 2024 admit card, CLAT OMR sheet and the CLAT 2024 question booklet. The admit card must be preserved till the end of the admission process.

Karthik, who appeared for CLAT 2024 felt the CLAT 2024 was easy, He found Maths to be the most difficult section while legal reasoning was the easiest section for him.

A preliminary CLAT exam analysis through student feedback suggests that CLAT 2024 was easy to moderate. Some students are expecting higher CLAT cutoffs this time.

The CLAT 2024 ended at 4 PM. The exam had started at 2 PM in offline mode. Candidates got 2 hours to attempt 120 multiple choice questions.

CLAT 2024 aspirant Kartik says he is confident for the exam as he has prepared well. He is expecting to score around 80 marks in the CLAT 2024 exam. Kartik is eyeing to get admission at NLU Jodhpur. According to him, Logical Reasoning will be the toughest section in CLAT exam.

Candidates have started to arrive at CLAT exam centres. Candidates will be allowed to enter the test centre premises at 1 PM.

The CLAT exam 2024 will begin at 2 pm. Entry of students inside the exam hall will be allowed from 1 pm.

The CLAT 2025 exam is expected to be conducted in the first week of December 2024. The consortium of NLUs has not announced the CLAT 2025 exam date yet. Going by the past trends, the exam will tentatively be conducted in the month of  December next year.

Candidates can take either a colour or a black and white printout of the CLAT 2024 admit card. There are no specific guidelines about the same. However, it must be ensured that the details mentioned on the admit card are clearly visible. Both colour and black and white copies of the CLAT hall ticket are acceptable.

The CLAT 2024 LLM syllabus will comprise of topics like Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Administrative Law, Law of Contract, Torts, Family Law, Criminal Law, Property Law, Company Law, Public International Law, Tax Law, Environmental Law, and Labour & Industrial Law.  

Although, there is no specific CLAT exam dress code. It is advised that candidates must avoid wearing accessories such as lockets or chains. Candidates are also advised not to use clothing with big buttons which can be potentially used to hide cameras or other equipment.

As per the notification put out by Consortium of NLUs on its official website close to 100000 candidates have shown interest to appear for CLAT 2024. There has been a rise of 34.7% in undergraduate applications and 25.8% in PG applications for CLAT 2024.

As per the CLAT 2024 marking scheme, there is a negative marking of -0.25 marks for every incorrect answer. If candidates mark two circles in the OMR sheet, it would also be treated as a wrong answer and negative marks would be applied. However, there is no negative marking for unattempted answers.

No, candidates must carry a physical copy of the CLAT 2024 admit card. Digital copies are not accepted. As per CLAT exam instructions, candidates cannot carry any digital devices such as mobiles or digital watches inside the exam hall. 

As per the NIRF law rankings 2023, there are a total of 10 NLUs in the top 30 law institutes. NLSIU Bengaluru, NALSAR Hyderabad, and WBNUJS Kolkata are among the top 5 institutes. Other NLUs included in top 30 include GNLU Gandhinagar, NLIU Bhopal, RGNUL Patiala, RMLNLU Lucknow, NUSRL Ranchi, NLUJA Assam, and NLUO Cuttack.

Legal reasoning carries a 25% weightage in CLAT exam. There will be 22-26 questions. The Consortium stipulates that candidates do not need prior legal knowledge to attempt the section. However, a good understanding of basic legal concepts and legal terms would help one to score well in this section. 

As per the general trend observed, it is noticed that lower ranked and newer NLUs charge lesser fees. Among the NLUs participating in CLAT 2024, DBRANLU Sonipat, TNNLU Tiruchirappalli, and RMLNLU Lucknow charge the lowest fees. The fees at these NLUs range between 1.50 Lakh p.a. To 2 Lakhs p.a.

The CLAT dress code specifies that female candidates should not wear any ornaments like nosepins, bangles etc for the CLAT exam today. Female CLAT candidates must wear half-sleeved clothes without large buttons. Students should wear slippers or sandals instead of shoes for footwear in CLAT exam paper.

When compared to NLUs, last year, there is an addition of one more NLU participating this year - NLU Tripura. It must be noted that NLU Tripura did not participate in CLAT 2023. However, it will be accepting CLAT 2024 scores for its law admissions. In total there are 24 participating NLUs in CLAT 2024.

There are no specified passing marks for CLAT 2024. Admissions to NLUs will be done on the basis of CLAT 2024 cut off. To get admissions in top 5  NLUs candidates must score between 78-85 marks out of 120.

CLAT 2024 exam is also a path to obtain jobs as many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) also conduct recruitment through this exam. Power Grid Corporation issued a job notification in October for filling up vacancies of  Officer Trainee-Law. It is using scores obtained in CLAT PG 2024.

The total exam duration of CLAT 2024 is 120 minutes. Candidates will be given a time of 120 minutes to attempt the 120 questions given in the exam. Each question will carry one mark each. It must also be noted that there is negative marking in CLAT for each incorrect response.

There are no changes in the CLAT PG paper. The Consortium of NLUs has revised only the CLAT UG pattern. The CLAT PG paper will have 120 multiple choice questions on different areas of law, to be attempted in a duration of two hours.

This year, as per the revised CLAT pattern, the UG question paper will be for 120 marks instead of 150 earlier. A good score in CLAT 2024 will be around 78-85 marks. This calculation is based on past trends. In previous years, a score of around 66% percent (100-110 out of 150) has been considered as a good CLAT score.

Yes, CLAT 2024 has a maths section in the form of CLAT Quantitative Techniques. It is assigned 10% weight in the question paper. As per the CLAT UG question paper paper, there will be 10-14 questions. The difficulty level of the questions would be of 10th grade.

The consortium does not specify any qualifying marks for CLAT 2024. Candidates are placed in the merit list in the order of their marks and ranks in their respective categories. Shortlisted candidates will be placed in the CLAT 2024 invite list and called for CLAT 2024 counselling.

The Common Law Admission Test will be conducted in around 131 CLAT exam centres spread across 23 states and 4 union territories in the country. The exam is conducted in offline mode and candidates must be physically present at the exam venue to appear for the exam. 

The deadline to download the CLAT 2024 admit card is December 3, until 1:30 PM. Candidates can download the admit card by logging in with their credentials on the official website - consortiumofnlus.ac.in. A printout of the CLAT hall ticket must be carried to the exam.

Even though the CLAT 2024 exam will start only at 2 PM, candidates have to report to the CLAT exam centre much before that. From 1 PM candidates will be allowed to enter the test centre premises and they will have to be seated in their respective classrooms by 1:30 PM.

NLU Delhi and NLU Meghalaya are not participating in CLAT 2024. Both these universities have their own law entrance exams to admit students into their 5-year LLB and LLM courses. Candidates must also note that CNLU Patna participates in CLAT for admitting students into its 5-year LLB programmes. However, its LLM admissions are not done through CLAT 2024.

Through CLAT 2024 candidates would be able to get admission into 5-year integrated LLB and LLM programmes of participating National Law Universities and other affiliated colleges. It must be noted that candidates cannot get admission into a 3-year LLB course through the Common Law Admission Test. 

The answer key of CLAT exam is usually released on the day of the exam shortly after the conclusion. The online window to raise objections against the provisional answer key of CLAT exam will also open shortly after the release.

NLSIU Bengaluru offers 300 seats for admissions in UG courses. Furthermore, NLSIU Bangalore also offers 120 seats in the LLM course. Admission to these courses will be done through CLAT 2024

CLAT cut off 2024 for top  5  NLUs

No, there is no limit for the number of times candidates appears for the CLAT entrance examination. Candidates can appear for the CLAT exam as many times as they want.

In the admit card of CLAT 2024, it has been clearly mentioned that no student will be allowed entry inside the exam hall after 2:15 pm. However, late entrants will be allowed for a period of 15 minutes from the time of the commencement of the examination.

Candidates can carry the below-given items on the day of the exam:

• A pencil
• A blue/black ballpoint pen
• A government photo ID card such as an Aadhar card, voter ID, driving license or passport
• A transparent water bottle

According to the exam day instructions of CLAT 2024, students are not allowed to carry any electronic devices like mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators etc. Students are also not allowed to carry any eatables inside the examination hall.

Candidates appearing for the CLAT exam must wear light-coloured clothes. Students must wear half-sleeved clothes so there is no chance of concealing any study material. Candidates must also not wear any ornaments like nose rings, bangles etc.

CLAT 2024 exam will be held on December 3,2023. The exam will be conducted offline in pen and paper-based test mode. The CLAT exam timings are 2 pm to 4 pm. The gates of the exam hall will open at 1 pm.
