NEW DELHI: The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has issued the CLAT ‘code of conduct’ to be followed by candidates in the examination hall. The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2025) will be administered tomorrow, December 1, for both 3-year, 5-year LLB and LLM admissions.

Candidates are required to carry the CLAT admit card 2025 and a valid ID card to be allowed entry inside the exam centre. CLAT UG and CLAT PG admit card download link 2025 is available through the official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in. In the latest notification, the consortium has notified a list of 10 guidelines to be strictly followed by the applicants on the CLAT exam date 2025.

“Breaching any of these guidelines may result in severe penalties, such as cancellation of the exam or other disciplinary action including criminal cases. Always adhere to the principles of honesty and integrity,” it said.

CLAT 2025 code of conduct

Here’s the CLAT code of conduct 2025 for all candidates scheduled to take the exam tomorrow.

1. Strict prohibition of unauthorized materials - Carrying any unauthorized materials, such as notes, written papers, or electronic devices, into the exam hall is strictly forbidden.

2. Avoid communication - Communicating with other students, verbally, through gestures, or by exchanging notes, during the exam is considered a violation of exam rules.

3. No electronic devices- Mobile phones, smartwatches, bluetooth, or any other electronic devices capable of storing or transmitting information will not be allowed in the exam hall unless explicitly permitted.

4. Follow exam supervisor instructions - Candidates have been instructed to comply with all instructions from invigilators, or supervisors without argument or delay.

5. No impersonation -Writing an exam for someone else or having someone else write an exam on your behalf is a serious offense.

6. Do not tamper with CLAT question booklets - Altering, tearing, marking or annotating the question booklet in a manner not permitted is considered misconduct. Underlining passages are allowed but not underlining, marking, ticking, or circling of answers in the booklet.

7. Timely reporting of errors - If you find errors in your question booklet such as unprinted pages, missing pages or fault in OMR sheet, inform the invigilator immediately.

8. No late entry or early exit - Entering the exam hall beyond the time limit prescribed by the consortium or leaving before the exam ends without permission is considered a breach of rules.

9. Exceptions for PWD candidates - Based on the needs of PWD candidates, special exceptions are given which are communicated to the invigilators and in case of any such privilege denied, the student can insist on talking to the Centre Superintendent or Observers from the Regional Centres.

10. Report suspected cheating - If you observe any unfair practices, report them to the invigilator instead of engaging in or ignoring them. “Protect the integrity of the examination process or you will be losing your own entry to the NLU,” it added.
