According to the official NALSAR Hyderabad information brochure 2026, the tuition fee for the 5-year BA LLB (hons) programme is nearly 8.25 lakh, and for the one-year LLM is Rs 65 thousand per annum. NALSAR Hyderabad offers a total of 182 seats for law admissions for the academic year 2026.

The National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) Hyderabad admit students based on Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 scores to their LLB and LLM courses. NALSAR Hyderabad admits students to the BA LLB (hons) programme who have completed 12 years of school education.

To complete the course, students are required to accumulate 200 credits through a combination of mandatory and optional courses. The foundational courses in History, Political Science, Economics, Sociology and English have to be completed within the first 2 years of study. In addition, students are required to earn 9 credits by choosing from a vibrant list of social science seminars offered by full-time and visiting faculty members.

NALSAR Hyderabad UG Admissions 2026

For the academic year 2026 UG admissions, NALSAR Hyderabad offers 23 elective courses, 10 clinic courses, 21 seminar courses, and 16 social science seminar courses. For one year LLM programmes, the university has offered optional courses with specialisation, including:

  • Corporate and Commercial Laws;
  • Criminal Law;
  • Intellectual Property Rights;
  • International Trade and Business Laws; and
  • Public Law and Legal Theory

However, NALSAR may admit 3 additional candidates, over and above the sanctioned intake under the unreserved category for its BA LLB (hons) and LLM courses to meet the future vacancies, if admitted candidates decide to withdraw their seats.

"The intake and reservations may vary as per the decision of the University bodies," the official NALSAR Hyderabad brochure reads.

Additionally, as per the NALSAR official brochure, there shall be an increase of Rs 5,000 per annum in the tuition fee every academic year for the 5-year BA, LLB (Hons) degree programme. The mess charges can be paid separately by the students in advance every year, which comes to approximately Rs 40,000. However, the fees are provisional and subject to revision from time to time, as per the decision of university bodies.
