CLAT 2026 Result (OUT) LIVE: NLU counselling begins at 6 pm; admission schedule, cut-offs for top law colleges

Parv Jain and Rohan Joshi have secured All India Ranks 2 and 3, respectively, in CLAT UG 2026. The exact marks for both candidates are yet to be released.

The counselling registration fee for general category candidates is Rs 30,000. For SC, ST, OBC, BC, EWS, and PwD category candidates, the fee is Rs 20,000. The registration will only be considered complete once the fee is paid before the deadline.

Geetali Gupta has secured the All India Rank (AIR) 1 in CLAT UG 2026 with 112.75 marks. She leads the merit list of candidates eligible for counselling at National Law Universities.

The CLAT 2026 counselling registration window will remain open till 10 pm on December 27, 2025. Candidates can complete the registration within this period to be eligible for the counselling rounds. Late registrations will not be accepted, and incomplete applications will be considered invalid.

When registering for CLAT 2026 counselling, applicants must select a minimum of 15 preferences for undergraduate programmes and 5 preferences for postgraduate programmes; however, they may select additional preferences if they wish.

For the five-year undergraduate programmes at NLSIU Bangalore, the tuition and facilities fee is Rs. 3,18,200, the housing fee is Rs. 1,32,800, bringing the total cost to the student to Rs. 4,51,000. At the time of admission, a one-time admission fee of Rs. 13,900 will be collected. Furthermore, a refundable security deposit of Rs. 18,800 will be collected from SC/ST students and Rs. 23,700 from other students.

The highest mark in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2026 PG) is 104.25.

For NLU Odisha, the BA LLB programme had opening and closing ranks of 469 and 1,013 in the General category, 3,196 and 7,247 for SC, and 8,920 and 12,967 for ST, while the BBA LLB programme recorded General category ranks from 552 to 1,176, SC from 7,630 to 7,891, and ST from 10,921 to 15,161.

In CLAT 2026 UG, the topper Geetali, secured the highest score of 112.75 with AIR 1, while Shaurya Pratap Shahdev scored 108.00, achieving AIR 22.

This year, 92,344 candidates registered for the CLAT 2026 exam. The overall attendance for CLAT UG was recorded at 96.83% and for CLAT PG 92.45% of the registered candidates appeared.
