For general category candidates, CLAT 2025 cut-off marks is expected to be 100+ for NLSIU Bengaluru and NALSAR Hyderabad, while the cut-off for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories is likely to be around 85 marks.
Unlike many competitive exams, CLAT does not have a fixed passing mark. Candidates are ranked based on their performance relative to others. Admission into NLUs depends on the rank achieved and the reservation policy.
The CLAT cut-off marks 2025 are influenced by several factors, including:
Number of candidates: A higher number of candidates leads to greater competition for the limited seats available in National Law Universities (NLUs). This often results in higher cut-off scores.
Difficulty level: Easier exams tend to have higher cut-offs, while tougher ones lead to lower benchmarks.
Availability of seats: Limited seats across categories drive higher cut-offs, especially in popular NLUs.
Reservations policy: Each college allocates a specific number of seats for reserved categories. This reduces the seats available for General category candidates, often leading to higher cut-offs for the unreserved category.
