The CLAT 2020 will be conducted on August 22 in test centre-based mode. However given the COVID-19 pandemic situation remains grim, students, as well as parents, have now raised the questions whether it is safe to travel and appear in the test centre based examination.
The conducting body has so far assured that necessary precautions and strident protocols are being deployed at the test centres in consultation with the health officials and epidemiologists to ensure the safety and well being of students, parents, and exam officials.
The consortium plans to set up some separate isolation rooms at the test centre. Students who report higher than normal temperature will be shifted to the isolation rooms for the safety of other students.
Further, the consortium has also informed that the online computer based CLAT 2020 will have a user-friendly interface. From fonts, font sizes to highlights and annotations, all aspects of online exams will be taken care of.
Differently abled candidates will be given special attention to ensure easy access to the examination venue.
Considering the national character of CLAT, the conducting body is also considering the possibilities of opening further exam centres across various cities if necessary.
About CLAT 2020 - More than 50,000 students from across the country appear in CLAT, the common exam for admission to 22 participating National Law Universities. Through CLAT, the NLUs offer admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes.
