CMAT answer key 2024, response sheet soon at exams.nta.ac.in; tie-breaking rule

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to issue the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT 2024) provisional answer key soon. The NTA will follow a normalisation method for exams held in multiple shifts to calculate the percentile of candidates. The CMAT answer key 2024 will be hosted on the official website, exams.nta.ac.in/CMAT/.

The CMAT 2024 is a management entrance exam conducted by the NTA for admission to AICTE-approved institutions, universities, departments and affiliated colleges. The exam was held in computer-based test (CBT) mode on May 15 in two shifts. Shift 1 was held between 9 am to 12 noon and shift 2 from 3pm to 6pm.

As per the question paper analysis, CMAT shift 1 and shift 2 exam was moderate in difficulty level.

Along with the CMAT answer key, the NTA will also upload the question paper and response sheet and will be available for two to three days. The answer key challenge facility will be available for candidates to raise objections. Students will have to pay Rs 200 per question challenged. Based on the objections, the final answer key and the CMAT results 2024 will be declared.

CMAT tie-breaking rule

CMAT merit list or All India Rank (AIR) will be issued based on the score obtained by the students in the exam. In case two or more candidates obtain the same marks, the NTA will follow a tie-breaking rule in the order given below.

• Cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of the last graduation examination.
• Overall Class 12 pass percentage marks.
• Older in age

Candidates having same score will be given the same merit, and the merit number would be increased by the same number ie. if there are two candidates at merit 2, merit 3 would not be awarded to the next candidate, instead merit 4 will be awarded.
