NEW DELHI, NOVEMBER 29, 2018- Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) will be conducting COMEDK UGET 2019 on May 12. The authorities have released an official notification regarding UGET 2019 on November 29. The entrance exam, UGET 2019 will be held in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for admission to engineering courses in COMEDK member institutions.
The entrance exam will be conducted on All India (AI) basis across the country. Apart from exam date, no other dates are yet announced. Authorities will soon release the detailed calendar of events along with the information brochure in due course.
Who can apply for COMEDK UGET 2019?
Candidates who will meet the following eligibility criteria will be able to apply and appear for the entrance exam:

Qualifying Examination: Candidates must pass second PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary or equivalent examination from recognized State/Central Government. Also, the last two years of study must comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with English as a compulsory subject.

Qualifying Marks: Candidates must pass qualifying examination with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% for SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka State) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and should have passed these subjects individually.

Compulsory Subjects: Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Bio-Technology or Biology or Electronics or Computer as one of the optional subjects.

Diploma candidates are not eligible to take COMEDK UGET 2019.
COMEDK UGET 2019 is a state level examination for admission of candidates to various undergraduate engineering programmes offered by190 participating institutes in the State of Karnataka. Around 20,000 seats will be offered to COMEDK UGET qualified candidates. The application form for the entrance exam will be available tentatively in the second week of January 2019.
