The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET) 2026 round 4 choice filling begins. Candidates can enter and modify their choices until August 28, 2026, at 4 pm, according to the Round 4 COMEDK 2026 counselling schedule. As many as 17,815 engineering seats remain vacant across 151 colleges before the start of the fourth round.

Among the top courses, BTech Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) has the highest number of vacant seats at 4,871, followed by Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) with 2,731 seats. Mechanical engineering has 1,259 vacant seats, while civil engineering has 977 seats available. Artificial intelligence and data science have 502 vacant seats before round 4.

COMEDK Choice Filling 2026 Round 4: Top course-wise vacant seats

Among the colleges with CSE vacancies, BMS College of Engineering, Basavanagudi, Bengaluru has 124 vacant CSE seats, while Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology, Shamanur Road, Davangere has 119 vacant CSE seats.

COMEDK Counselling 2026: Round 4 allotment, fee payment dates

The Round 4 COMEDK seat allotment result, decision-making and fee payment process will begin on September 1 at 4 pm. Candidates will be able to complete the process until September 3 at 2 pm.

Candidates who receive a seat will have to report to the allotted college from September 1 at 4 pm to September 8 at 3 pm. Candidates have been advised to make travel arrangements in advance and check the reporting timings with their allotted college, particularly for Saturdays and public holidays.

COMEDK UGET 2026 Counselling Round 4: Rules for candidates

Candidates with ‘Accept & Upgrade’ or ‘Reject & Upgrade’ status who receive an allotment in Round 4 will only have the ‘Accept & Freeze’ option. Such candidates must report to the allotted college.

If a candidate fails to join or report to the allotted college and continue the course, the candidate will forfeit the entire tuition fee and other fees paid at the COMEDK level. The candidate may also be liable to pay a penalty of five times the fee, as per the counselling rules.

Candidates with ‘Reject & Upgrade’ status who do not receive an allotment in Round 4 will exit the COMEDK counselling process and receive a refund of the total fee paid. Candidates receiving an allotment for the first time in round 4 can choose either ‘Accept & Freeze’ or ‘Reject & Withdraw’.

COMEDK UGET 2026: Additional fee details

As per the notice, apart from the total fee, colleges offering special skill laboratory facilities may collect Rs 10,000, Rs 15,000 or up to Rs 20,000 per student per year, depending on the facilities offered and as approved by VTU. Applicable university fees may also be charged.

Reva University will collect a university fee of Rs 28,000 for CIT, IS, EC and UE courses. Chanakya University will collect an optional university-level fee of Rs 20,000 for all courses.
