Coronavirus: IIT Delhi students to vacate campus by March 15

NEW DELHI: A day after cancelling the classes, the Indian Institute of Technology, IIT-Delhi, has asked the students to vacate the hostels ‘positively’ by March 15. This is as a precaution against the coronavirus pandemic.

In a letter addressed to the students, the assistant registrar, Mukesh Chand has asked the residents of IIT hostels to vacate by midnight.

However, the following categories of students are allowed to stay in the hostels with due care:-

1. International Students with basic mess facilities

2. 2018 and prior entry PhD students if their research is at a crucial stage
