COVID-19 Effect: IGNOU extends exam form, assignment submission deadline for June 2020 TEE

NEW DELHI: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date for the submission of the examination forms and assignments for June Term End Exams (TEE) 2020, due to the Coronavirus pandemic. While the varsity has extended the deadline for the examination form submission to May 15, the last date for assignment submission has been revised to May 31. Earlier, the last date for exam form and assignment submission was April 30 for June TEE 2020. This means that for the examination forms and the assignment submission, the candidates have got 15 and 31 extra days respectively.
This is not the first time that IGNOU is extending its deadlines. Earlier too the last dates for the exam form submission and assignment submission had been extended till April 30, from the prior deadline. Candidates have to submit the scanned copies of handwritten IGNOU assignments by sending them to the respective regional centre via email. They can further check the status of their assignment after a few days, once the university announces it.
Though, as per the latest announcement by the IGNOU officials, the last date to fill IGNOU examination form 2020 is May 15, without any late fee, however, if candidates do not submit it by this date, then they have to pay some additional fee further. With a late fee of Rs.1000, candidates can fill the exam form till May 20. While filling the exam forms, the students also have to choose their desired examination centre where they want to take the exam. But, there’s provision for change in examination centres, in case students want, from May 1 to May 5, 2020. Candidates also have to pay the examination fee of IGNOU TEE for theory and practical examination (Rs.150 per course) which can be paid through debit card, credit card or net banking.
IGNOU offers around 277 courses at UG, PG, doctorate, certificate and diploma level. Most of the UG, PG, Diploma and Certificate courses of IGNOU 2020 are offered based on the marks in the qualifying exams. However, for some courses like B.Ed., MBA, Post B.Sc. Nursing, and M.Ed., the university conducts entrance examinations.
