COVID 19- IIT Delhi revises M.Des admission process

NEW DELHI - Considering the nationwide lockdown and the logistic and travel-related challenges that have been created by the current situation IIT Delhi modified the admission process for the academic career 2020-21. As per the new admission procedure, the admission to M.Des will be taken completely based on the valid CEED score for all the categories with applicable exemptions. However, an interview via videoconferencing will be conducted for those students who are valid applicants but do not have a GATE/CEED score such as IIT graduates with CGPA more than or equal to 8.00, part-time, sponsored and international candidates. The revised admission process is applicable for the academic year 2020-21 only.

Old Admission Procedure

It may be recalled that according to the old advertisement, IIT Delhi was supposed to conduct the admission process for M.Des in three parameters - written test, studio test and interview. Candidates have to appear the written test followed by studio test and interview.

Aspirants can fill the application form of IIT Delhi M.Des until May 10, 2020, in online mode. The selected General/OBC candidates will have to pay an amount of Rs 36,950 as an admission fee whereas Sc/ST/PH have to pay INR 26,950.
