NEW DELHI: In order to maintain the continuity of the academic calendar amidst the COVID 19 lockdown, English and Foreign Languages University will be conducting end semester examinations online through open-book tests, take-home examinations, term appears, assignments or projects. The decision was made during the 12th academic council meeting headed by the Vice-chancellor, Prof E Suresh Kumar. The examinations will be held as per the regular academic calendar in May 2020.

“ The council, consisting of forty members with the vice-chancellor, in the chair felt that the sit-down mode of examination should be dropped for May 2020 end semester examination, as a measure to ensure social distancing as desired by the government of India and the government of Telangana state,” states a press release issued by the university.

In another decision, the council approved to conduct the PhD viva voce examinations and comprehensive continuous assessments by all the faculty members online.
