COVID-19 lockdown: Delhi University admission put on hold

NEW DELHI: The University of Delhi (DU) has put all its admission processes on hold till further notice.

A DU statement said the registration process for undergraduate, postgraduate, MPhil and PhD courses for 2020-21 will not take place now as the university remains closed till April 14 due to the lockdown. “In view of the Order 403/2020 DM-I (A) dated 24th March 2020 issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India for maintaining social distancing and isolation measures to contain the spread of Covid-19, the University of Delhi is closed till 14th April 2020,” the statement said.

The government had issued orders imposing a 21-day country-wide lockdown from March 25.
