CSAB 2023: Special round 1 result to be declared today; what’s next?

Use NowNEW DELHI: The seat allotment result of CSAB special round 1 2023 will be declared today on the official website – csab.nic.in. The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) is conducting CSAB special rounds for the vacant seats in various National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and other Government-funded Technical Institutes (GIFTs).
The selected candidates will get five options – freeze, slide, float, surrender and withdraw – during CSAB special counselling 2023. Those opting for ‘freeze’ will mean that they are satisfied with the allotted programme and institute. ‘Slide’ option will allow the candidates to choose a better programme provided there is a vacancy available in the allotted institute in the CSAB special round 2.

Candidates choosing the ‘freeze’ option agree to the allotted programme and college but they can be allotted a different programme and also a different institute in subsequent rounds. Those choosing the ‘surrender’ option will not get the allotted seat but will be eligible for the CSAB special round 2.
The students choosing ‘withdraw’ option agree to surrender the allotted seat and will not be eligible for CSAB special round 2. The candidates can exercise ‘surrender’ and withdraw option till 3 PM on August 12.

Candidates not allotted seats can use the ‘exit’ option to leave the CSAB counselling process. The selected candidates will have to report online, pay the admission fee, upload relevant documents and respond to queries raised, if any, between August 8 and 12.
The candidates will have to respond to any queries raised by the institute before 5 PM on August 12. The candidates will have to report at the allotted colleges from August 14 to August 21. The seat allotment result of CSAB special round 3 will be declared on August 13.
