CSIR UGC NET 2019 exam begins for June session; check details here

NEW DELHI, JUNE 16 : Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is conducting CSIR UGC NET 2019 for June session in offline mode today, on June 16. The exam is being conducted at various centres in 27 different states across the country. The exam is being conducted for two sessions - morning and afternoon.
CSIR UGC NET exam for Life Sciences and Physical Sciences is being conducted in the morning session while the exam for Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Earth Sciences is being conducted in afternoon session.
Only those candidates have been allowed to take test who have their CSIR UGC NET 2019 admit card and one of the prescribed photo ID proofs - Aadhaar card, Voter ID card, PAN card, Driving License, Employee ID card, University/College ID card. Also, as per the guidelines, candidates were also not allowed to carry calculator, mobile phone, or any other electronic device inside the examination hall.
Each of the two sessions morning and afternoon of CSIR UGC NET 2019 is being held for 3 hours and 200 marks during which the candidates are being tested on their knowledge of Life Sciences, Earth Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Chemical Sciences and Physical Sciences. No marks are being deducted for incorrect answers.
After the exam, the exam conducting body will declare the result for CSIR UGC NET in September/October 2019 in online mode. Based on CSIR UGC NET result 2019 candidates will be issued eligibility certificates and they will become eligible for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship. The fellowship to successful candidates will be effective from 1st January 2020 with the validity period of 2 years for joining the fellowship under CSIR UGC NET scheme.
