CTET 2021 July session: Know how to apply and selection process

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of School Education (CBSE) conducts the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on a national level. The CTET 2021 exam is conducted twice a year, in July and in November. It is conducted to make candidates eligible to apply for the post of primary and secondary teacher posts in Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV), Navodaya Vidyalaya, or CBSE affiliated government-funded or private schools. Candidates can apply through respective recruitment drives notified by those schools. CTET doesn't guarantee the job, however, it issues the certificate through which the TET aspirants can apply for the vacancies.

Recently, the CTET eligibility certificate's validity has been extended to lifetime, previously it was 7 years. This validity will be in effect from 2011 onwards.

How to apply for the CTET July session selection process

• Visit the official website - ctet.nic.in

• Click on ‘Apply Link’ on the homepage (The link will be activated when the application form for CTET July session is released)

• Register, if you are a first time user and fill in the credentials

• Add the details wherever asked

• Pay the application fee in online mode and click on the ‘Final Submit’ button

• Keep a receipt of the form with you for future reference.

Aspirants who successfully submit the application form will be issued the admit card in online mode to appear in the exam.

CBSE conducts the exam in two shifts for two papers. Paper 1 is conducted for candidates who want to become primary teachers for Classes 1-5, while CTET paper 2 is conducted for candidates planning to apply for teacher posts in Classes 6-8.

Who can apply for CTET July session?

As per the CTET eligibility criteria, there is no upper age limit for candidates. According to the academic qualification, candidates must have completed the post-graduation degree along with a 2-year diploma in Elementary Education NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
