CTET 2024 application correction deadline today; exam pattern, marking scheme

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will close the application correction window for the Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET) 2024 today, October 25. Candidates who have successfully registered can make modifications to their CTET 2024 application forms via the official website, ctet.nic.in. The correction window opened on October 21.

To make changes, candidates need to log in using their application number and password. This one-time opportunity allows applicants to correct important details in their application form.

Candidates can update personal information, such as their name and their parents' names, ensuring these match official documents to prevent any issues later on. They can also adjust key exam-related choices, including which paper they plan to take (Paper 1 or Paper 2).

Furthermore, candidates can update their category (general, OBC, SC/ST) or disability status, which may impact eligibility and concessions during the exam.

CTET 2024 exam on December 14

The CTET 2024 exam, initially scheduled for December 15, has been moved to December 14. However, if there is a high number of candidates in a particular city, the exam may also take place on December 15.

The examination will occur in two shifts: the morning shift from 9:30 am to 12 pm, and the afternoon shift from 2:30 pm to 5 pm.

CTET 2024 Exam Pattern

Paper 1: For teaching classes 1-5.

Paper 2: For teaching classes 6-8.

Format- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

Total Questions- 150 questions per paper.

Marks- Each question carries 1 mark (total 150 marks per paper).

Duration- 2.5 hours for each paper.
