NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will close the registration window of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET January 2024) on the official website, ctet.nic.in.

The board will conduct the 18th edition of the CTET in 20 languages in 135 cities on January 21, 2024. The CBSE will hold two papers – Paper 1 for teaching posts in Classes 1 to 5 and Paper 2 for Classes 6 to 8. Candidates applying for any of the papers will have to pay an application fee of Rs 1,000 and Rs 1,200 for both the papers. However, candidates belonging from SC, ST and PwD categories will be to pay a registration fee of Rs 500 and 600 for applying for one paper and both papers, respectively.

CTET 2024 educational qualifications

CTET Paper-I

Candidate who had secured minimum 50% in high school; passed or participated in a two-year primary education diploma program

Candidate with minimum aggregate of 45% marks in high school and 2-year diploma Course in elementary education

Students with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in high school and who has passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education

50% marks in high school and who has passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)

50% marks in graduation and Bachelor of Education

CTET Paper-II

Graduation and who has passed or appearing in a 2-year diploma course in elementary education

50% in graduation and who has Passed or appearing for a 1 year Bachelor in Education

45% marks in graduation and who has passed or appearing in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (BEd)

50% marks in high school and who has passed or appearing in the final year of a 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (BEIEd)

50% marks in high school and who has passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year BA/BScEd or BAEd/BScEd

50% marks in graduation and who has passed or appearing in 1-year BEd (Special Education)
