CU-CET Result 2021: Admission in 12 CU based on CUCET score, universities' eligibility criteria

CU-CET Result 2021: Admission process to begin soon
NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency released the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) result 2021 on October 20, on it’s website. The participating central universities will now announce the counselling, admission schedule for admission to various undergraduate (integrated) and post graduate courses on the basis of recently announced CUCET 2021 score and the criteria the respective university follows.

To secure admission in the central universities, the candidates who appeared for the CUCET 2021 will have to meet the eligibility criteria of the respective central universities to secure a seat in the desired programme. The NTA said that the CUCET score alone does not guarantee admission in the participating universities.

In its notification, NTA said, “merely appearing in CU-CET 2021 does not confer any right to the candidate for admission to the participating Course. The selection and admission are subject to fulfilling the admission criteria, eligibility, rank in merit list, medical fitness, verification of original documents and such other criteria as may be prescribed by the participating Central Universities (CUs).”

The participating central universities will declare the counselling admission schedule based on weightage on the CU-CET 2021 score and the other criteria of the respective central universities on their official website. The candidates who qualify the eligibility criteria can apply for the admission on the basis of their CUCET exam score, provided they also meet the requirements of the university.

Though NTA is a conducting body of CUCET 2021, it will have no role in the selection process, or transfer, cancellation, conversion of seats and admission of CU-CET 2021 appeared candidates in the central universities courses, said NTA. The candidates who appeared for the CUCET 2021 can check the websites of participating central universities for update on counselling and admission schedule.
List of 12 participating Central Universities in the CU-CET 2021
Around 134722 candidates had registered candidates for the exam, and 97416 candidates appeared for 60 test papers (02 for undergraduate/ integrated (UI) programmes and 58 for postgraduate (PG) programmes). The exam was held in 161 Cities across India at 308 Centres. The CUCET exam 2021 was held on 15, 16, 23 and 24 September in computer based mode for admission to 12 central universities by NTA this year.
