NEW DELHI: The CUET 2022 application process is underway, aspiring candidates who wish to apply for Common University Entrance Test for admission in 65 universities (44 central universities and 21 other universities) can fill and submit the CUET application form 2022 till May 6.
As per a report by the Hindustan Times, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has received more than 1.27 lakh applications for CUET 2022 up to the end of the first week of registration.
The CUET application fee for candidates belonging to general category, general-EWS, and general-OBC-NCL are Rs. 650 and Rs. 600, respectively. The application fee for applicants in PwBD, SC, ST, and third gender categories is Rs. 550.
Before starting the CUET application process candidates must know the minimum CUET eligibility criteria. Applicants must know that their application can get cancelled at any given time without any prior notice, if they fail to meet the minimum qualification of CUET.

There is no age restriction on applicants to CUET 2022 for UG programmes. CUET is open to candidates who have passed the Class 12 or equivalent examination or who are appearing in 2022. Candidates, however, must meet the age requirement (if any) of the university where they wish to apply
Candidates who failed in one or two subjects of Class 12th will not be considered eligible to apply for CUET 2022
The CUET entrance test will be held in two slots. The duration of the first slot is 45 to 195 minutes and the duration of CUET second slot is 45 to 225 minutes.
In the CUET 2022, there will be a general test, a language test and two domain-specific papers. Each paper will include four domain-specific subjects and an option language subject.
The CUET entrance test 2022 will now be having four sections:
Section IA – 13 languages
Section IB – 19 languages
Section II – 27 domain-specific subjects
Section III – General test
Candidates may take a maximum of nine tests in a combination of two languages + six domain-specific subjects + one general test or three languages + five domain-specific subjects + one general test.
The syllabus of CUET is divided in four parts:
Section IA - Languages - Reading comprehension (based on different types of passages–factual, literary and narrative, (literary aptitude and vocabulary)
Section IB - Languages- Reading comprehension (based on different types of passages–factual, literary and narrative, (literary aptitude and vocabulary)
Section II - Domain- MCQs based on NCERT Class XII syllabus.
Section III - General Test- (MCQs)- General knowledge, current affairs, general mental ability, numerical ability, quantitative reasoning (grade 8 mathematics), logical and analytical reasoning.
Among the 547 locations in the country, candidates have the option to choose 4 CUET exam centres. There will be 13 cities outside of India where the CUET exam will be held for international candidates.
