CUET 2022 English answer key has ‘too many wrong answers’, students claim

NEW DELHI: Today is the last date to challenge the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG 2022) answer key. However, many students claimed that the CUET 2022 English answer key has numerous errors and expressed concern over raising objections for “more than 20 questions” by paying a non-refundable fee of Rs 200 per question.

Students said that the answer key of CUET UG 2022 English exams held on August 5 and August 22, 24, 2022, in different slots have “too many wrong answers”. They have shared the screenshot of the CUET English paper answer key on Twitter. Some even said that the answer key has over 20 answers wrong, while some students who appeared in different slots said 5 answers were wrong. Question numbers “16464, 16465, 164613, 164614, 164616, 164642” were some of the questions that the students claimed were incorrect.

With just a few days left for the CUET 2022 result declaration, students are also worried about the scores. A large section of students have also taken to social media tagging the National Testing Agency (NTA) demanding clarity on the wrong CUET answer key 2022. Several students have informed the NTA about how they are unable to view answers and their response sheet. That’s not it, aspirants also claimed that they were marked absent despite giving the exam on the scheduled date.

Meanwhile, the University Grants Commission (UGC) chairman M Jagadesh Kumar announced the CUET UG 2022 result date. Students can expect the CUET results 2022 by September 15 or earlier on the official website, cuet.samarth.ac.in. The UG admission to all participating central universities and private universities will soon begin after the CUET 2022 result declaration.

As chaos continues, the CUET answer key challenge window will close today at 11.50 PM.

‘Can’t spend money for NTA’s mistake’

A student said, “18 August CUET English exam has so many wrong answers. I didn't even check the full paper. The first ten questions have like three wrong answers. I can’t pay 200/- per question.”

“In the English exam held on 5th of August slot 1,I have 7 wrong answers as per your answer key but 5 of them are correct. Issue a new answer key. We can't go on spending money for your mistakes,” another student said.

Another student claimed that the CUET English exam held on August 22, 2022, also had wrong answers and shared the image of the answer key along with the right answers.
