CUET PG 2023: Registration fees, number of exam cities abroad increased; new changes

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) began the application process for Common University Entrance Test-Postgraduate (CUET PG 2023) yesterday evening, March 20. Along with the CUET PG application form, the NTA has also released this year’s CUET PG information bulletin, official website, syllabus at cuet.nta.nic.in.

Interested candidates will be able to access the CUET 2023 PG registration link to submit the application form. The NTA has introduced some changes in the CUET PG exam 2023 such as increased registration fees, number of subject choices etc.
As per the schedule announced, the CUET 2023 registration for PG admission has begun from March 20 and will conclude on April 19. The CUET PG correction window will be opened on April 20 to 23. The NTA is yet to announce the CUET PG exam date 2023 and admit card release date. Aspirants will be able to check the exam schedule on the official website whenever announced.
CUET PG 2023: New changes
Applicants will have to go through the changes introduced this year before filling the application form through the CUET PG official website.
CUET PG application fee hiked - The NTA has increased the registration fees for all categories by Rs 200 compared to last year. Candidates belonging to the general category will have to pay Rs 1,000 and those under OBC-NCL/Gen-EWS will have to pay Rs 800. Applicants outside India applying for three tests will have to pay Rs 5,000.
Candidates had to pay Rs 200 for additional test papers. However, this year they will have to pay Rs 500 for each extra test paper they wish to appear and those candidates outside India will have to deposit Rs 1,500.

Number of subject choices - Candidates will be able to choose a maximum of 20 test paper codes in all. Each question paper will have 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Candidates have to choose English or Hindi at the time of registration for Part A. Last year, candidates could apply for only one course in a slot.

Exam cities reduced in India - The NTA has reduced the number of exam cities and centre for the CUET PG 2023 examination from 554 to 337.
Exam cities abroad increased - The number of test cities abroad have been increased from 13 to 24. The new exam cities abroad include Thailand, Brazil, South Africa, Qatar, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Russia, Canada, the US, Riyadh Province, Australia, Austria, and Mauritius.
The previous year, candidates were allowed to select any four cities of their choice. But now, they will be able to select only two cities of their choice based on their permanent address or present address.
CUET PG 2023 will be conducted in English and Hindi (Bilingual) except for language and Sahitya papers for a duration of two hours. A total of 142 universities have opted CUET 2023 for PG admission this year.
