NEW DELHI: The Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG 2025) registrations have commenced for students desirous of pursuing the BA, BSc, BCom and other undergraduate programmes from central, state, deemed, private, and other participating universities. The CUET syllabus for domain-specific subjects will be based on the curriculum prescribed by the NCERT.

The number of subjects has been reduced to 37, which includes 13 languages, 23 domain-specific subjects, and one general aptitude test. Last year, the NTA offered 61 subjects comprising 33 languages, 27 domain-specific, and 1 general test.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the exam date for the CUET UG 2025 and started the application process on March 1. Students appearing for the Class 12 board exam 2025 or have passed the exam will be eligible to sit for the second-largest national-level entrance exam of India scheduled to take place from May 8 to June 1.
The CUET UG exam will be held in computer-based test (CBT) in 13 Indian languages - Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. Students will be permitted to opt for 5 subjects including languages and general aptitude test irrespective of the subjects studied in Class 12.
The CUET UG question paper 2025 will consist of 50 compulsory questions and students are required to attempt all the questions in 60 minutes.

The CUET UG exam 2025 will be prepared based on the topics covered in the NCERT syllabus. Students from the science stream opting for BSc Mathematics, Chemistry, or Physics can find the subject-wise CUET syllabus in the table below. A total of 8 topics - one from physics, 7 from chemistry - has been dropped from the CUET UG syllabus.

A total of 46 central universities will offer UG admissions through the CUET UG score 2025. However, not all central universities offer BSc Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
