NEW DELHI: The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2023 will be conducted from May 21. With around 16.85 lakh students registered for the CUET 2023 examination, the competition will definitely be tougher this year.

The CUET question paper will comprise of three sections -- Section 1(A and B), Section 2 and Section 3.

While section 1 (A) will be a language paper and will be held in 13 languages and students were asked to select any one of these 13 languages, the section 1(B) will consist of 19 languages and candidates were asked to choose any one of these languages to attempt the paper.

Section 2 in CUET UG question paper will be domain-specific. Section 2 will be based on 27 subjects. Section 2 will comprise of MCQs on Class 12 NCERT syllabus.

Section 3 of the CUET UG question paper will be a general test. Questions on general knowledge, current affairs, general mental ability, numerical ability and others. Candidates will have to answer 60 MCQs out of a total of 75 MCQs.

Sharing some preparation tips and strategies to be followed during the last month, director, product, Pearson India Sojan Jose said proficiency in English will be crucial in ensuring success in this exam, especially for the language assessment tests.

The CUET UG 2023 applicants can hone their English skills and comprehension by reading newspapers, magazines, and online news portals.

By utilising digital learning platforms and modules, the expert added, students can access high-quality study material, mock tests, and personalized learning experiences to help them in their preparation for the exams.

Books that provide comprehensive coverage of the CUET topics, including detailed explanations, practice exercises, and examples, can help students understand and master the concepts, he added, saying that digital modules like video lecture series and simulated mock tests, can further strengthen the practice and readiness of the students.

To succeed in CUET 2023 UG exams, a combination of both traditional and unconventional methods such as mind mapping, mnemonics, and creative learning techniques can be highly effective, the expert said. Additionally, he added, practicing mindfulness and meditation can help students to reduce stress and improve focus, which is crucial during exam preparation. Regular exercise and a healthy diet can positively impact students' overall well-being and cognitive function.”
