NEW DELHI: Common University Entrance Test (CUET 2023) registration is expected to begin soon. The University Grants Commission (UGC) chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar had on Monday told reporters that the CUET 2023 application form date will be announced in a couple of days. Candidates who wish to apply for the entrance exam for UG admission will be able to do so at the official website cuet.samarth.ac.in.

In December, the government announced the exam dates of CUET 2023, NEET 2023, JEE Main 2023. After the CUET 2023 exam dates were announced, the UGC chairman said that the CUET UG registration will begin in the first week of February.

The UG admission process is expected to be completed by July 2023 and the new academic session will begin on August 1 this year, according to the schedule. The CUET UG 2023 exam dates are from May 21 to 31, the National Testing Agency (NTA) said.

Applicants will have to keep scanned photograph, signature and category certificate ready before the CUET 2023 registration begins at cuet.samarth.ac.in. The CUET syllabus 2023 will be based on the Class 12 NCERT syllabus.

Minister of state for education Subhas Sarka yesterday informed the Rajya Sabha that there was no proposal to hold CUET exam twice a year.

The debut edition of CUET was held last year for admission to UG, PG admissions in central universities and other participating universities. The exam was marred by glitches and last minute exam centre change. The education ministry in December had told Rajya Sabha that 65,000 complaints were received by the NTA of which 47,835 grievances were about rescheduling the date or centre.
