NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to announce the Common University Entrance Test - Undergraduate (CUET UG 2025) exam date soon for admission to all 44 central universities, state and other participating universities. The University Grants Commission (UGC) chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar introduced several changes for CUET 2025.
The CUET UG application form 2025 will be made available in February on the official website, exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/, as per last year’s trend. The National Testing Agency (NTA) started the CUET UG registration process for the second-largest entrance exam in India on February 27 last year. The NTA is likely to conduct the entrance exam in May and results will be declared in June, as per reports.
An expert panel reviewed the structure, number of papers, duration of test papers, syllabus alignment and operational logistics. Following this, the UGC chairman announced that the CUET exam is set to undergo major exam rejig.
As per the revised CUET UG exam pattern 2025, the entrance exam will be conducted as a computer-based test (CBT) for a duration of 1 hour for all papers. The number of subjects have been reduced from 67 to 37, which includes 23 domain subjects. The least attempted subjects have been removed from the UG entrance exam. Students have also been given the flexibility to choose the subjects not studied in Class 12.
The CUET UG application form had some technical issues last year as students could not find Delhi University in the list of participating universities. Here is the list of all central universities and their official websites.
