The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the scribe registration process for the Common University Entrance Test-Undergraduate (CUET UG). Candidates can still apply on the official website of NTA CUET at cuet.nta.nic.in. This facility is available for the candidates with disabilities who want to submit details of their own scribe for the upcoming exam.

The CUET UG 2026 examination is scheduled to be held in computer-based test (CBT) mode from May 11 to May 31.

As per the marking scheme, candidates will receive five marks for every correct answer, while one mark will be deducted for each incorrect response. The examination will be conducted in multiple languages and held in several shifts across different centres.

CUET UG 2026: How to register for scribe

To register for the scribe, applicants need to follow the instructions given below:

  • Go to the official CUET website at cuet.nta.nic.in
  • On the homepage, locate the candidate activity section and select the “Register Scribe Details” link
  • Log in using the application number, password, and captcha code
  • After signing in, fill in the necessary information related to the scribe
  • Review the entered details carefully and submit the application
  • Download or save the confirmation for future reference
  • Once submitted, the scribe information will also appear on the candidate’s application form and confirmation page

CUET UG 2026: Exam pattern

The CUET UG 2026 examination will consist of objective-type multiple choice questions (MCQs) and will be divided into three sections: language test, domain subjects, and general test. The language section will assess reading comprehension and language skills, while the domain-specific section will include questions based on the Class 12 NCERT syllabus. The general test will cover areas such as general knowledge, current affairs, logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude, and numerical ability.
