The Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) has announced the Cochin University of Science and Technology Common Admission Test (CUSAT CAT) 2026 exam date. As per the official announcement, the CUSAT CAT 2026 exam will be conducted on May 9, 10 and 11.

CUSAT CAT is a university-level entrance examination conducted annually for admission to courses in engineering, science, law, management, and other disciplines. The test is mandatory for candidates seeking admission to programmes offered at the main campus and affiliated institutions of CUSAT.

While the examination dates have been confirmed, the university has not yet announced the registration schedule for CUSAT CAT 2026. The application submission dates, along with the detailed admission notification, are expected to be released shortly. Once the registration process begins, eligible candidates will be able to submit their application forms through the official admission portal at admissions.cusat.ac.in.

The CUSAT CAT entrance exam is usually conducted in computer-based mode at designated exam centres. Based on performance in the CUSAT CAT 2026, candidates will be shortlisted for the counselling and admission process.

CUSAT CAT eligibility criteria for BTech

The university is expected to release the CUSAT CAT 2026 eligibility criteria shortly. Until the official notification is issued, candidates can refer to the previous year’s eligibility criteria for the Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programme, outlined below, for reference:

  • Candidates should have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board.
  • Mathematics and Physics should be compulsory subjects, with Chemistry as an optional subject.
  • Candidates are required to secure a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics.
  • An overall aggregate of at least 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry combined is mandatory.
  • Candidates belonging to the Socially and Educationally Backwards Classes (SEBC) of Kerala State under the non-creamy layer category are eligible for relaxation. Such candidates must have scored a minimum of 45% marks in Mathematics and 45% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
